We are a group of mothers heart broken and determined to bring change. The situation of food insecurity is escalating both in the UK and globally and we know as mothers we have a powerful voice which needs to be heard. Together with unwavering determination, let's create a world where no child goes hungry.
REGIONAL MOTHERS DAY HUNGER STRIKES
We are holding 24 hour regional strikes next Mothers Day 30th March.

This will be hugely impactful, with women striking across the country in solidarity with all those who are struggling to feed themselves and their families
We will be joining forces and together we will be an incredibly powerful voice.
We are starting to gather momentum with some regions already covered but we need more! Might you be able to support a local strike? Get in touch.

MOTHERS DAY HUNGER STRIKE
Starting with our regional Mothers Hunger Strikes around the UK, mothers who are able will continue to hunger strike for 5 days. We will be outside Parliament, bringing our demands direct to Government and calling for change.
Due to our amazing recent fundraiser, we now have the means to support any mothers or supporters who wish to join our campaign on the ground, in London, or their local area. The hunger strike is an optional 5 days, with mothers joining us for various durations throughout that time.
Along with mothers who want to join us and strike, we are looking for volunteers who could help with logistics and media work. We'd love to hear from you!

24hr HUNGER STRIKE 11th SEPTEMBER
WE WERE OUTSIDE PARLIAMENT ON HUNGER STRIKE FROM 10-4pm
Welcoming our new government, who have started to make some positive changes their pledges to some of our demands. But there is still so much more to be done.
Mothers and children are still going hungry both here in the UK and globally. We can do better. No child should feel hunger and no mother should have to skip a meal.

MOTHERS HUNGER STRIKE 2024
WE WENT ON HUNGER STRIKE IN SOLIDARITY WITH MOTHERS, CHILDREN AND FAMILIES THAT ARE UNSUPPORTED IN THE COST OF LIVING AND FOOD INSECURITY CRISIS, IN THE UK AND GLOBALLY.
Our group of 8 Mother's went on hunger strike for 5 days. We spoke with press, the public and politicians, raising awareness of the food security crisis and highlighting our demands.
MOTHERS MANIFESTO RETURN TO PARLIAMENT
DURING OUR HUNGER STRIKE WE SPOKE WITH MPs CANDIDATES ABOUT OUR DEMANDS IN PARLIAMENT.
1. NO CHILD IN THE UK TO GO HUNGRY
Free school meals for all children in state schools and the implementation of a Universal Credit which guarantees life's essentials.
2. A LOOP-HOLE FREE WINDFALL TAX ON FOSSIL FUEL COMPANIES EXCESSIVE PROFITS
The climate crisis, which is being driven by fossil fuels, is directly causing an escalation in food insecurity. Fossil fuel companies presently receive 91.4% tax relief (90p in every £1) when reinvesting into UK energy, this includes expansion and development of fossil fuel sites. Essentially taking our money to steal our future!
OUR HEARTS
Throughout our hunger strikes we have been making a huge collection of hand made hearts. We take this collection of hearts with us on our actions and into Parliament. These hearts have our children’s names along with the names of children from across the globe. We have hearts for children that we know from all over the world, from the UK to Gaza, Africa and Australia.
They are a representation of children now and into the future, and we carry them close with us throughout everything we do, to represent their voices and lives.
We want to show the compassion and connection that drives us to fight for the lives of every child. These hand stitched hearts are easy to make and allow us to each take a moment to think of a child close to our hearts.

MOTHERS MANIFESTO: 24hr Hunger Strike
Our group of Mother's took on another hunger strike outside of Westminster to show solidarity with mother's, children and families struggling in the UK and globally to find basic essentials for life. We joined forces with the Crossroads Women's Centre who stood with us. This is not an isolated issue. Climate change, the cost of living crisis, and ongoing inequality around the world contributes to the starvation and death of children and their parents.
6 DAY MOTHERS HUNGER STRIKE 2023
Our campaign started with a group of dedicated mothers who committed themselves to a 6 day hunger strike, starting on Mother's Day 2023. Our aim is to repeat this strike on a bigger scale for Mother's Day 2024. We will not sit still while mothers and children starve in the 6th biggest economy in the world. While families struggle to survive against their human rights and global corporations take record profits.
